Closed for renovations - reopening Mid July as Homestead Cafe and Restaurant 

The Cafe at Lanyon Homestead is embarking on an exciting period of change, with improvements planned throughout 2026 to elevate your dining experience. Reopening from mid-July under new management the Homestead Cafe and Restaurant will be proudly operated by Embrace Disability Group, a local social enterprise creating meaningful employment and training opportunities for people living with disabilities. Their menu will draw inspiration from traditional country cooking — simple, hearty, seasonal food — reimagined with modern techniques, local produce, and a deep respect for the land on which Lanyon Homestead stands.

Silver Linings Caravan

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00am - 2:00pm

While these changes are underway, we’ve partnered with one of Canberra’s best coffee vans, Silver Linings, to ensure delicious beverages and snacks are available during your visit. grab a coffee and enjoy with fresh, house baked treats whilst you soak in the stunning views of the Brindabella Ranges at one of Canberra’s premier historic sites. No need to book, drop in and then find your favourite spot on the terrace or in the garden. See you soon! Please note that payment facilities at Lanyon Homestead and Homestead Cafe are limited to EFTPOS only.
