What leads a female convict to flee the fledgling Colony of NSW in the governor's cutter, and another to endure life at the ‘edge of legal occupation’?

Join Meg Keneally as she describes insights to the experience of convict woman Mary Bryant (b. 1765). Take a guided tour of the c.1840s outbuildings for a glimpse into the life of ‘housemaid of all work’ Elizabeth Morton, who was assigned to work at Lanyon after her arrival in the Colony in 1836. View the exhibition The Convict Years, including the new addition of replica clothing worn by convict women.
