Professor Saul Cunningham is Director of the Fenner School of Environment and Society, ANU.
In 2015 the Ecological Society of Australia honoured Professor Cunningham with the Australian Ecology Research Award, and he has editorial roles with Global Food Security and the Journal of Pollination Ecology. He has worked with farming industry groups, local landholders, and international colleagues on the challenge of maintaining biodiversity in landscapes dedicated to agricultural production.
Saul will use the Sylvia Curley Oration to discuss the need for improved dialogue about environmental issues between science and society, and to examine the road ahead for institutions such as the Fenner School.
