Mugga-Mugga is a special house museum, extraordinary in its ordinariness.
It is a rare survivor of life on the Limestone Plains, long before Canberra was established. Join Quentin Slade of the Heraldry and Genealogy Society of Canberra (HAGSOC) for a talk about how an archaeological dig in Googong sparked a family history quest – using early maps of our region to understand how a family came to be. Quentin Slade works in Reader Services at the National Library of Australia.
During your visit, enjoy a cuppa and talk family history with members of the Heraldry and Genealogy Society of Canberra (HAGSOC) about journeys into their family’s past and get some ideas of techniques you can use in your own. The talk will be followed by a tour of Mugga Cottage.
