Make a handy device used by farmers to shift mobs of livestock when they don’t have a dog of the four-legged kind. Using a hammer and a nail, kids will make a central hole and creative designs in specially cut metal discs.
The discs are then threaded onto a looped piece of wire. When kids shake the wire loop, the metal discs rattle and it’s this ‘tin dog’ that helped farmers herd sheep and cattle!
