Harvest Day Out on Saturday 30 April has been cancelled due to the heavy rain and possible severe weather forecast. We are very disappointed to cancel the event and hope to reschedule the program later this year. The safety and enjoyment of our visitors was our main priority. Thank you for everyone’s support.
Join Adam Shipp as he shares his passion for traditional Aboriginal plant use.
Gain an in-depth introduction to Aboriginal plant and their uses, including foods, fibres and medicines. You will get to taste and try many flavours of the bush. Adam is a proud Wiradjuri man living on Ngunnawal country.

Celebrate Lanyon Homestead’s autumn harvest and gardens. Drop by, have a picnic and enjoy the music, market stalls and gardens. For our garden lovers, book into the bush tucker and veggie growing talks. Get creative at the children’s drawing trail, the bee hotel, candle making or Victorian floristry workshops. Or join one of the garden or Homestead tours.
Free entry to the gardens. Ticket bookings required for museum tours, talks and workshops. Prebook a devonshire tea or picnic hamper from the Barracks Café.
