Join David Watson of Millpost, located near Bungendore, to hear how broad scale Permaculture Design, home food production and revegetation have made the farm profitable and resilient in the face of climate change.
For more than 40 years David and his family have established extensive shelterbelts and planted countless shade trees to maintain moisture during drought and to keep residents, livestock and wildlife cooler during heatwaves. Hear how innovative grazing management is a response to climate change, how Millpost is supporting more family members without debt or expansion, and how Aboriginal heritage has been embraced. David Watson's message is optimistic and relevant to rural and urban dwellers alike. Part of the ACT Heritage Festival.
